ST.JEROMES - THE HOTEL

LUXURY CAMPING AT A WHOLE NEW HEIGHT

A new rooftop experience in Melbourne and it’s not a bar, cinema or restaurant – it’s a hotel.

St Jerome’s - The Hotel provided luxury camping accommodation on the rooftop of Melbourne Central for a limited time and cement the centre’s position as an essential city destination committed to urban culture.

The great outdoors and the glamorous city skyline will combine to create a truly unique experience where guests can sleep under the stars with the bustling city around them. Both high end and down to earth, St Jerome’s The Hotel will take luxury camping to a new level.

St Jerome’s The Hotel Rooftop area totalled 2796m2 and comprised of 25 standard rooms (4m bell tent) and 5 suites (5m bell tent) as well as a central lawn area and bar for guests only. Luxury toilets and showers on site.

Melbourne’s obsession with rooftops – rooftop bars, rooftop dining, rooftop cinema – is pushed to an unconventional new level at this out-of-the-box glamping hotel. Located three storeys up next to Melbourne Central’s big glass cone, St.Jerome’s — The Hotel introduced a brand new experience to glamping - snoozing in a jungle of city lights and dizzying towers.

St.Jerome’s — The Hotel was a luxury campground on the top of Melbourne CBD, complete with plush AstroTurf, a potted forest, its own bar, and stunning views. With 25 standard “rooms” and 5 “suites” were set up on the expanse, which Deon says is about the size of a suburban footy field.

But these were no ordinary tents. St.Mor & Borazio are long time friends and entrusted each others very opposite thought processes to build the hotel from the ground up.

Deon St.Mōr, designed and oversaw the entire build of the hotel, who also furnished the Simpson bell tents with cosy lush pillows, urban jungle decor and mood lighting to heighten the experience.

A one night stay will start from $300 a night and include breakfast from renown chef Jeremy Raven, 24-hour concierge services, morning tai chi and meditation classes, and access to chauffeured cars.

Originally planned as a pop-up, St. Jerome's — The Hotel surpassed it's initial three-month run and ranked #2 for hotel stays in Melbourne by Tripadvisor. Features in TimeOut Magazine, Qantas Inflight Magazine, Australian Financial Review, The Guardian and in 2017's Australian Open Tennis TVC campaign added to the hype.

Having created an immersive experience at the intersection of the great outdoors and the glamorous nightlife, there is no question how St.Jerome’s — The Hotel made it’s mark and revolutionised the concept of glamping for Victorians.
